Bolting Accessories
Sockets:
The workhorse of bolting, sockets are interchangeable attachments for wrenches or drivers designed to fit specific nut or bolt head shapes (hex, square, etc.). They provide a secure grip for turning the fastener.
Reducers:
Reducers are adapters that enable you to use a socket with a drive size different from your wrench or driver. For example, a reducer allows you to use a smaller socket with a larger wrench.
Reaction Arms:
These support tools absorb torque reaction forces when tightening or loosening large fasteners, preventing the tool and operator from being pushed around by the turning force.
Backup Wrenches:
Backup wrenches secure the head of a bolt or stud while you tighten the nut with another tool. This prevents the bolt or stud from rotating and ensures proper torque is applied to the nut.
